What is a Limited Edition Print?

A limited edition print is exactly what it sounds like — a photo produced in a strictly limited quantity. This number can range from as few as 10 to as many as 1000 or more, but the idea remains the same: exclusivity. Once all the prints in the edition are sold, that’s it — no more will ever be produced in that size. Owning a limited edition photograph is like owning something truly rare and special, a piece of art that only a select few others in the world will ever have.

Because of their rarity, limited editions tend to retain or even increase their value over time. By buying a limited edition print, you’re investing in a piece of art that is truly unique.

For my limited editions, I focus on keeping things simple and exclusive. Each photograph is limited to just 11 prints, available in three different sizes, making them rare from the start. Once an edition for a particular size sells out, no more prints of that size will be produced — ever. To ensure the uniqueness of each print, all my limited editions come with a personally signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This certificate not only guarantees the artwork’s exclusivity but also confirms that the photograph you own is part of a finite collection. It even specifies exactly which number in the edition you’ve acquired.

I offer my prints in the following three sizes:

  • 5 pieces in 30 × 45 cm size, numbered 1/5 tot 5/5

  • 4 pieces in 40 × 60 cm size, numbered 1/4 tot 4/4

  • 2 pieces in 60 × 90 cm size, numbered 1/2 tot 2/2

Why I chose limited editions

As a black-and-white street photographer, I aim to create art that is unique, emotional and meaningful. Every photo I capture reflects a unique moment in time, preserved forever in my frame. Offering my work as limited editions allows me to honor this uniqueness and provide you with something truly special.

The concept of scarcity is central to the value of limited editions — fewer prints mean greater exclusivity, making each piece feel like a personal treasure.

Owning a limited edition print isn’t just about having something beautiful to hang on your wall; it’s about being part of a select group of people who get to enjoy this particular piece of art. It’s unique, it’s personal and it’s yours.

What are Artist Prints?

Artist Prints are a small set of prints created by the photographer for personal use, gallery submissions, photo exhibitions, or other specific purposes. These prints often serve as the artist’s own copies and are highly valued for their rarity.

For each of my limited edition photographs, I reserve three Artist Prints. These prints are not part of the numbered edition available for sale and are used for my personal collection, exhibitions and competitions. This ensures that I always have a few exclusive copies of my work for professional purposes while maintaining the integrity and exclusivity of the limited edition series.
